Miners 2021 Baseball card set<\/a> in one of our earlier posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThere were a total of 28 cards Southern Illinois miners 2015 baseball cards set. Along with this was a final card that displayed the complete checklist on the rear<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe numbers on the back of these cards are the players jersey numbers. So, technically the cards in this set are #NNO, but we have recorded them by their designated player number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mike Pinto 2015 Baseball Card #3<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n2015 was Pinto\u2019s ninth season as the Manager of the Southern Illinois Miners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pinto earned his 500th<\/sup> career win as the manager of the Miners.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThis was on July 19 against the Evansville Otters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John Lakin, Card #37<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\n2015 saw Lakin return for his sixth season on the Miners coaching staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lakin\u2019s primary role was that of an advanced scout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A seasoned player and coach. Lakin was also very successful in his professional life. Having reached senior positions within law-enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rick Teasley, baseball card #34<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nTeasley, who is a southpaw pitcher was signed to the minors on 12th of April 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As well as pitching left-handed, Rick also bats left-handed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eric Strano, card #6<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nThis was Strano\u2019s first professional season, he was signed to the Miners as a catcher, he came as a free agent<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eric played previously at Rider University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jon Klein, card #21.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nA great action shot in this baseball card of Klein showing him at full stretch about to release the ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was Jon\u2018s first professional season, he came to the Miners as a free agent and previously pitched at Mercyhurst University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aaron Gates, card #7<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nGates was an outfielder who signed to the Miners in January 2014 having previously played for Charleston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gates, who is a southpaw was drafted in the 33rd round of the 2008, major league draft by the Colorado Rockies<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ryan Brockett, card #26<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nRyan came to the Miners as a left-handed pitcher, and was signed as a free agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The previous year he played for River city and pitched collegiately at Saint Mary\u2019s College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brockett also bats left-handed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brendan Slattery, card #29<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nBrendan signed with the Miners as a free agent and 2015 was his first professional season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His primary role was catcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adam Lopez, card #33<\/h2>\n\n\n\n <\/figure>\n\n\n\nLopez was an experienced player. Previously having played for the Chicago White Sox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was signed as a right-handed pitcher and came to the Miners as a free agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
